Prigradica is a small picturesque village on the north side of Korcula Island, not far from Blato. Once a famous export port, Prigradica is now an attractive tourist resort, with a great summer vibe. Prigradica is stretched about 3 km along the northern coast of Korcula island. Although most of the coast on Korcula is rocky, there are many coves with pebble beaches, which makes it fun to explore. In the center of Prigradica, there is a small playground for different sports, such as basketball, football, tennis and beach volley-ball. In the area of Prigradica you can also enjoy fishing and other sea sports.

Blato on Korcula

Blato is located about 5 km from Prigradica. With an interesting old town center dated before 14th century and some close archeological locations such as Kopila, it has a long tradition and it is one of the island’s most inhabited places. A part from beautiful bays and the coast, Blato is known for Kumpanjija, a complex dance with swords, performed to the sound of a drum and misnjica (a type of bagpipe) as well as the long linden tree alley that stretches throughout the place.
Wine and olive oil production

The surroundings of Blato – nearby field and hillsides – are a part from pine trees covered in vines and olive trees. The area on the hillsides is on many parts covered in dry stone walls forming a terrace-like landscape in which a lot of olive trees and vines are located. Wine and olive oil coming from these areas is very special as it takes a great amount of work to make the final product.
